- Attach Files to Lessons
Our number ONE requested item! You can now attach files to your lessons. You can attach any file type (Word Document, PowerPoint presentation, PDF, etc.) and as many files as you'd like to any/all your lessons. To attach a file, click the "Attach File" button when editing a lesson, and then select your file. - Standards Reporting
Our number TWO requested item! You can now run reports on the standards you have covered in your lessons. Standards reporting allows you to view national, state, or local standards, and to report by specific subjects, categories and date ranges. The reports will also tell you the number of times each standard is taught. To run standards reporting, click Go To -> Standards. - Teacher Notes
Teachers often have a running To Do list in their heads (make copies of math review packet, pick up volcano supplies, call parents coming on field trip, etc.) They may also want a place to capture notes on student performance, ideas for new teaching approaches, etc. To help teachers keep track of these items, we have added a Teacher Notes section. Simply click on the Teacher Notes icon (next to the date buttons) and enter in your notes! - Backwards Bump
In addition to the ability to bump a lesson into the future from one to ten days, we have added the ability to bump a lesson into the past from one to ten days. Note that when you bump a lesson into the past, this will remove any lessons you already have on those days. - Undo Option
You can now "undo" your bumps, extends or deletes. If you accidentally move or remove a lesson, simply click the "undo" link in the status message, and your action will be undone. - Administrator Panel
For school purchases, we now offer an administrator panel. The administrator panel allows school administrators to quickly view lesson plans for each of their teachers, and to create a school calendar where events added by an administrator appear automatically on all teacher plans. - Customize your Lesson View
We've added the ability to select which classes appear in your week/day/month views, as well as which lesson sections are displayed. You can also choose to show standard IDs, standard descriptions, or both in your lessons. To customize your lesson view, click on the "All Classes" and "All Items" drop downs in the view bar. - Customize your Lesson Sections
We have increased the number of available lesson sections to 8, and you can now fully customize each section. You can decide how many sections you need, and choose the name (Objectives, Technology/Materials, Activity, Accommodations, Homework, etc.) as well as the font type, size and color of each section. To customize your lesson sections, click Go To -> Display. - Create your own Standards
In addition to Shared Standards (State, Local, Common Core), we've added the ability to define your own standards. You can use "My List" to define objectives you've established for a subject or unit, to capture IEP goals identified for specific students, to add state or local standards that have not yet been added to Shared Standards, or any other way that effectively supports your teaching. Items are added to "My List" once, and can then be reused as often as you'd like! - Class Lessons: View Week, Month, or All
When looking at a single class, you can now choose to view lessons one WEEK at a time, one MONTH at a time, or view ALL lessons for the class! - Hide/Show: Homework, Notes, Standards
We've added the ability to hide Homework, Notes, and Standards from your Week, Day, and Class Lessons views. There may be times when you want to limit the information you see in a particular view, and this can now be done with a simple click. - Use School Year Start and End Date
You can now select to use the start and/or end date of the school year for each class. The advantage to this approach is if the school year dates change (such as make ups for snow days), you only need to change the date for the school year, and all your classes will have their dates updated automatically. As before, it you want to override the school dates for a particular class, you still have this option. - Copy Monday Start and End Times
When creating a new class, you have the option of entering start and times for each day of the week. For those classes that occur at the same time each day, we now offer a "Copy Monday Start and End Times to all days" so you only need to enter your class start and end time once. - State Standards Added
In addition to Common Core State Standards, we've added Science and Social Studies standards for Illinois, Florida, and North Carolina! We also added the ISTE Student Technology Standards. Keep watching, many more state standards to follow! - Custom Day Schedules
We now offer the ability to enter custom class times for days that don't follow the typical schedule. This can include half days, early dismissals, late starts, field trips, assemblies, school improvement days, etc. To adjust your class schedule, check the "Custom times" box when editing a lesson, and enter in a unique start and end time for your class. This custom start and end time will ONLY be used for the class on that day, and will not impact your typical schedule. - Lesson "Right Click" Options
If you right click on a lesson, you can now Copy, Paste, Bump, Extend, or Delete the lesson! - Teacher Notes for Lessons
A new "Notes" field has been added to lessons, to provide a place to capture notes related to each lesson. You can use notes to remind you of preparation activities (e.g. bring in volcano project material), track differentiation efforts (e.g. worked with Ally for 10 minutes on multiplication facts), reflect on the lesson, etc. You can control who sees the "Notes" field for your lessons, and can choose to hide your notes from the Student View or when printing. - Event Start and End Times
Events now include start and end times. If no start or end time is entered, the event is treated as an "All Day" event and will be shown before your lessons in the Week and Day views. If a start time is entered, the event will be shown within the flow of lessons based on its time. - New Display Options
You can select a default font style, size, and color for Lessons and Events. If you have a certain look that you want for your lessons or events, you will now be able to set this up once, and you will not longer need to set this information each time you create a lesson. As before, you can still change this information for specific lessons and events as desired. You now also have the ability to display either Class Name, or Class Times, first for each of your lessons in the Week and Day View. To access the new display options, click on the Settings link and then the Display tab. - Login Email Remembered
The email address you use to login will now be remembered, so that you do not need to enter it each time!

Welcome to planbook.com, an online lesson management system. Planbook.com provides its services to you, subject to the following conditions. When using planbook.com services, you and planbook.com shall be subject to any posted guidelines or rules applicable to such services. Planbook.com may update these conditions from time to time without notice.
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE
Planbook.com provides users with access to online services that allow you to create and manage classes, lessons, and events over the Internet and share these items with others. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, any new features that augment or enhance the current services, including the release of new services, shall be subject to the Terms of Service (TOS). You understand and agree that all services are provided "AS-IS" and that planbook.com assumes no responsibility for the timeliness, deletion, mis-delivery or failure to store any user communications or personalization settings.
In order to use the services, you must obtain access to the World Wide Web, either directly or through devices that access Web-based content, and pay any service fees associated with such access. In addition, you must provide all equipment necessary to make such connection to the World Wide Web, including a computer and modem or other access device.
YOUR REGISTRATION OBLIGATIONS
In consideration of your use of planbook.com, you agree to: (a) provide true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself as prompted by the Settings link (such information being the "User Settings") and (b) maintain and promptly update the User Settings data to keep it true, accurate, current, and complete. If you provide any information that is untrue, inaccurate, not current, or incomplete, or planbook.com has reasonable grounds to suspect that such information is untrue, inaccurate, not current, or incomplete, planbook.com has the right to suspend or terminate your account and refuse any and all current or future use of planbook.com's services (or any portion thereof).
ACCOUNTS MAY NOT BE SHARED
You understand that planbook.com accounts may not be shared. A planbook.com account may be used only by the single individual whose name appears in the User Settings. If planbook.com has reasonable grounds to suspect that an additional person has been accessing your account without having rendered proper payment to planbook.com, planbook.com has the right to suspend or terminate your account and refuse any and all current or future use of planbook.com services.

MEMBER ACCOUNTS, PASSWORDS, AND SECURITY
When you use planbook.com, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer, and you agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account and password. When you visit planbook.com or send e-mails to us, you are communicating with us electronically. You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications that we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.
MEMBER CONDUCT
You understand that all information, data, text, software, music, sound, photographs, graphics, video, messages, or other materials ("Content"), whether publicly posted or privately transmitted, are the sole responsibility of the person from which such Content originated. This means that you, and not planbook.com, are entirely responsible for all Content that you post, e-mail, or otherwise transmit via planbook.com. Planbook.com does not control the Content posted via planbook.com, as such, does not guarantee the accuracy, integrity, or quality of such Content. Under no circumstances will planbook.com be liable in any way for any Content, including, but not limited to, for any errors or omissions in any Content, or for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of any Content posted, e-mailed, or otherwise transmitted via planbook.com.
You agree to not use planbook.com to:
- upload, post, e-mail or otherwise transmit any Content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortuous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable;
- harm minors in any way;
- impersonate any person or entity, including, but not limited to, a planbook.com official, forum leader, guide or host, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity;

- upload, post, e-mail, or otherwise transmit any Content that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other proprietary rights ("Rights") of any party;
- upload, post, e-mail, or otherwise transmit any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, "junk mail," "spam," "chain letters," "pyramid schemes," or any other form of solicitation that are designated for such purpose;
- upload, post, e-mail, or otherwise transmit any material that contains software viruses or any other computer code, files, or programs designed to interrupt, destroy, or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment;
- interfere with or disrupt planbook.com services or servers or networks connected to planbook.com services, or disobey any requirements, procedures, policies, or regulations of networks connected to planbook.com services;
- intentionally or unintentionally violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law, or any regulations having the force of law;
- "stalk" or otherwise harass another; or
- collect or store personal data about other users.
You acknowledge that planbook.com may not pre-screen Content, but that planbook.com and its designees shall have the right (but not the obligation) in their sole discretion to refuse or move any Content that is available via planbook.com. Without limiting the foregoing, planbook.com and its designees shall have the right to remove any Content that violates the TOS or is otherwise objectionable. You agree that you must evaluate, and bear all risks associated with, the use of any Content, including any reliance on the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of such Content.
You acknowledge and agree that planbook.com may preserve Content and may also disclose Content if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such preservation or disclosure is reasonably necessary to: (a) comply with legal process; (b) enforce the TOS; (c) respond to claims that any Content violates the rights of third- parties; or (d) protect the rights, property, or personal safety of planbook.com, its users, and the public.
You understand that the technical processing and transmission of planbook.com services, including your Content, may involve (a) transmissions over various networks; and (b) changes to conform and adapt to technical requirements of connecting networks or devices.
INDEMNITY
You agree to indemnify and hold planbook.com, and its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, agents, co-branders or other partners, and employees, harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of Content you submit, post to, or transmit through planbook.com, your use of planbook.com services, your connection to planbook.com services, your violation of the TOS, or your violation of any rights of another.
NO RESALE OF SERVICE
You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, or copy any portion of planbook.com, use of planbook.com services, or access to planbook.com services.
GENERAL PRACTICES REGARDING USE AND STORAGE
You acknowledge that planbook.com may establish general practices and limits concerning use of planbook.com services, including without limitation posted Content that will be retained by planbook.com services, the maximum disk space that will be allotted on planbook.com servers on your behalf, and the maximum number of times (and the maximum duration for which) you may access planbook.com services in a given period of time. You agree that planbook.com has no responsibility or liability for the deletion or failure to store any data and other communications or other Content maintained or transmitted by planbook.com services. You acknowledge that planbook.com reserves the right to delete accounts that are inactive for an extended period of time. You further acknowledge that planbook.com reserves the right to change these general practices and limits at any time, in its sole discretion, with or without notice.
MODIFICATIONS TO SERVICE
Planbook.com reserves the right at any time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, planbook.com services (or any part thereof), with or without notice. You agree that planbook.com shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of planbook.com services.
TERMINATION
You agree that planbook.com, in its sole discretion, may terminate your password, username, account (or any part thereof) or use of planbook.com, and remove and discard any Content within planbook.com services, for any reason, including, without limitation, for lack of use or if planbook.com believes that you have violated or acted inconsistently with the letter or spirit of the TOS. planbook.com may also in its sole discretion and at any time discontinue providing planbook.com services, or any part thereof, with or without notice. GENERAL INFORMATION
The TOS constitute the entire agreement between you and planbook.com and govern your use of planbook.com services, superseding any prior agreements between you and planbook.com. You also may be subject to additional terms and conditions that may apply when you use affiliate services, third-party content, or third-party software. The TOS and the relationship between you and planbook.com shall be governed by the laws of the State of Illinois without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You and planbook.com agree to submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located within the County of Will, Illinois. The failure of planbook.com to exercise or enforce any right or provision of the TOS shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. What personally identifiable information does planbook.com collect from me?
Planbook.com believes that as little personal information as possible should be collected from our users. The personal information we collect for planbook.com is contained on the User Settings page, and the only required item is your email address.
In addition to the information we collect on the User Settings page, we may ask you for personal information at other times, such as when you contact our support team. Furthermore, when you send e-mail or other communication to planbook.com, we may retain those communications in order to process your inquiries, respond to your requests, and improve our services.
What are cookies and how does planbook.com use them?
As part of offering and providing customizable and personalized services, planbook.com may use cookies to temporarily store information about you. A cookie is a small file containing a string of characters that uniquely identifies your browser. We may use cookies to better display our website, to save you time, and to provide better technical support.

How does planbook.com use my information?

Planbook.com does research on our users' demographics, interests, and behavior based on the information provided to us upon registration, from our server log files, or from surveys. Planbook.com does not sell or rent user information to anyone. If you have forgotten your password, click the Forgot password link on the login screen. Enter your email address, and if the email address matches our records your password will be sent to this email address. Please contact us at support@planbook.com for further instructions about deleting or deactivating your planbook.com account. Residual information will remain within our archive records.
What security precautions are in place to protect the loss, misuse, or alteration of my information?
We take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure, or destruction of data. These include internal reviews of our data collection, storage, and processing practices and security measures, as well as physical security measures to guard against unauthorized access to systems where we store personal data.
Your account information is password-protected so that you and only you have access to this information. You may edit your planbook.com personal information at any time by clicking on the Settings link.
If you have forgotten your password, click the Forgot password link on the login screen. Enter your email address, and if the email address matches our records your password will be sent to this email address. For all other problems logging into Planbook services, please contact Planbook support at support@planbook.com.
For your protection, remember to sign out of planbook.com before closing your browser. You can sign out by clicking the Sign out link. After signing out, make sure to close your browser window. This is to ensure that others cannot access your personal information if you share a computer with someone else or are using a public computer.
We restrict access to personal information to planbook.com employees, contractors, and agents who need to know that information in order to operate, develop, or improve our services.
